Last Day of July

We went to the beach today :) And went bowling this evening and then to little Italy In Boston, where we ate Nougat, and Italian Pastries and Orange-tinis (i think they were called - and had nothing to do with oranges except the shape) until midnight. We are now staying with my old neighbors the Cincottas! Here's a collection of photos from the past few days!

29 -30/07 - Boston City

Yesterday we visited a town called Wrentham, a gigantic outlet shopping mall with Hillary, Ashleigh's friend from Wayland. Lots and lots of cool shops and most of it was pretty cheap! We spent a few hours there and after some dodgy asian food we decided to come back to Wayland. We visited Walden Pond in the afternoon, which was not too far from where we are staying (pictures below) and really beautiful. After the pond ashleigh wanted some ice cream because she's a fatty so we decided on Dairy Queen and tom wanted some snapple and twinkies because he is more fatty. We love cookie dough ice-cream is the sweetest!

Last night we decided to book a ticket for the Boston Duck Tour, its an amphibious bus that takes tourists around the city to see all the highlights. After the 60 minute tour, the duck enters the water and shows us the city from the river. The tour was great, an excellent way to see what the city has to offer without walking for hours in 90F heat! The driver was hilarious and had a great knowledge of Boston which made the trip perfect. Its amazing how much history this place has, I guess I'm too used to NZ.(tom)

After the Duck tour we needed to catch the subway to the Boston Aquarium. The walk to the subway was around the Government buildings where there was a huge market place - Quincy Markets. The buildings are amazing as well as the history connected to them. We ended the day at Boston Aquarium, which was pretty much a let down. The small building was packed full of kids and hard to see any of the fish. Waste of moneyyyyyyyy!

2nd day in Boston

We spent most of today staggering around Boston City in the 35 degree humidity for about five hours. We went through the subway onto Newbury Street (up-market shopping) and ended up at the public gardens feeding squirrels bagels . We decided to walk up to the science museum to catch a Duck Tour (a bus/boat tour) and after the 30 min walk, we were to late! We ended up spending a few hour in the Museum anyway, pretty cool place. Minori picked us up and took us to Jordans Furniture, the craziest furniture shop youll ever see! We are both shattered now after such a long and hot day. Sleep time

Wayland!

First time out of the house to explore after a not very nice morning of throwing up.
I think after the 2 hour flight from LA to Denver -Colorado (which was in the middle of the night and the Denver airport shops were closed ) and then the 6 hour flight to Boston with no meal pushed me over the edge a bit. So we had a quiet day today and managed to visit my old houses and the high school and middle school.
